Woodblock Print – In the Footsteps of Edvard Munch
For Edvard Munch, relief printing was an artistic technique with which he could achieve certain effects. In this workshop we will create a relief print in linocut. The drawing will be carved out of the linoleum using special chisels. The higher areas are rolled in with printing ink. After inking, the drawing can be printed with the printing press. This technique – suitable for producing several copies of an image – is both pretty and practical, because you can design and print your own cards, invitations or logos.
