Where do unicorns come from? Or: How do you put together an exhibition about an animal that doesn't exist?

A medieval tapestry from New York, a bishop's staff from Paris, a little-known bronze from London – the works shown in the exhibition naturally come together to form a narrative. But behind each selected object lie many considerations, often lengthy negotiations, and sometimes surprising coincidences. A look into the curator’s workshop reveals the many steps – from the initial idea and concept to securing the loans – leading up to the presentation of the exhibition.
