Workshop: Children Explain Art

Do you enjoy looking at paintings and talking about art?

Then you've come to the right place. The Barberini Kids Guides meet for a visit to the exhibition followed by a workshop with a museum educator in the Barberini Studio to prepare for picture discussions. On four dates, the Barberini Kids Guides will present works of art from the current exhibition and the Impressionism collection to children. The exhibition will introduce the artists and their painting techniques, tell stories about the paintings and their creation, and share personal thoughts and associations. Inspired by the presentation, the children and their families can then visit the original works of art – which is sure to spark interesting conversations!

Recommended age for Barberini Kids Guides: 7-16 years old.

The picture discussions with the visiting children will take place on 15 March, 19 April and 7 June at 1 p.m., for 30 minutes.
